The Global Digital Aircraft Maintenance Registry - Standardizing Aircraft Maintenance Data
Description
The Irish prime minister (An Taoiseach) will shortly launch a unique Aviation Academy formed of the University of Limerick (UL), the Irish Aviation Authority Air Navigation Services Provider and the Statutory Regulator. Parallel to this action, the University is embarking on the development of a Global Digital Aircraft Maintenance Registry (GDAMR) which will provide the aviation industry with a University housed database aimed at protecting and enhancing aircraft asset value through whole of life. The model will use Universal Unique Identifiers (UUIDs) to uniquely identify and authenticate maintenance tasks, manuals, compliance documents, components and assemblies from manufacture right through. This session details our vision for using the GDAMR to enable seamless maintenance data transfers, automate compliance monitoring, validate maintenance data, and facilitate development of UUID based Dirty Fingerprints.
