Shaun Humes is currently Executive Director and General Manager of Collins Aerospace Airborne United Stated Navy Strategic Solutions. In this role, Shaun is responsible for full portfolio management of the company’s Nuclear Command, Control and Communication (NC3) businesses related to the US Navy.
Prior to this role, Humes was General Manager of the Integrated Strategic Solutions (ISS) business within Strategic Solutions focusing on integration and sustainment of NC3 solutions spanning the full triad of the Strategic Deterrence spectrum. Additionally, Shaun was Director, Value Stream Leadership of the Airborne U.S. Air Force Strategic Command, Control and Communication (C3) business, responsible for the E-4B Low Frequency Transmit Systems (LFTS), Survivable Air Operation Center (SAOC), Common VLF Receiver (CVR) and other Airborne USAF Nuclear C3 programs.
At Rockwell Collins, the predecessor of Collins Aerospace, he helped advance the company’s avionics businesses while holding various roles of increasing responsibility, including systems lead on several transport aircraft programs ranging from the EC-130H Compass Call to the U.S. Air Force and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) E-3 Sentry airborne early warning and control aircraft system(AWACS), senior engineering manager for the Business and Regional Avionics tool department, and program manager of the Collins Boeing 787 Avionics and Boeing Air Transport Advanced Display business.
Shaun has completed an Executive MBA from the University of Iowa and B. S. in Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University. Shaun is also a Collins Aerospace representative on the RTX DE&I Executive Advisory Board, 2023 Recipient of an RTX Chairman’s Award, member of the Collins Richardson Black Executive Network, Executive Board Member of the non-profit Horizons: A Family Service Alliance, and former Aviation Week Young Professionals Advisory Board Member.
