Alan Wittman is the senior director of Business & Digital Transformation for Manufacturing & Quality functions across the Boeing Company. Wittman leads his team to define requirements for new IT applications and works closely with IT partners to lead user testing & implementations. Solutions are designed to enable transformational change in both processes & tools to yield higher quality, safety, and efficiency across Boeing factories, programs, and business units. In addition, Wittman heads the Enterprise Manufacturing Capabilities Governance Board, which is comprised of top operations leaders across the company who work together to harmonize and drive best practices, enterprise standard processes, and investment prioritization.

Since joining Boeing in 1991, Wittman served in various leadership roles across engineering, program management and supply chain functions. His early work included several design engineering and program management roles leading product development projects for Interiors, Payloads and Structures on 737, 767, 777, and 787 programs. Later, Wittman served as Director of Supply Chain for commercial airplanes, specifically for interiors, seats, and in-flight entertainment products. Most recently, Wittman served as the business operations director for the 787 program and then CEO of the startup Boeing joint venture, Adient Aerospace, which is now fully operational designing and delivering breakthrough passenger seating products for airline customers around the globe.

Wittman is deeply passionate about innovation and developing high performance teams and is active in his community serving in board positions for both the local community association and Little League Baseball.

Wittman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and an Executive MBA from Seattle University.
