Benjamin “Travis” Reid is Director of Operations Strategy and Technology, Aeronautics for Lockheed Martin Corporation. In this capacity, he is responsible for leading the Corporation’s aerospace pursuits, advanced manufacturing technology, manufacturing systems development and digital transformation.
Previously, Mr. Reid was Site Lead Director of Production Operations, Skunkworks Division in Palmdale, CA for Lockheed Martin Corporation’s Aeronautics. In that role, he was responsible for all aspects of integrating the Palmdale site manufacturing efforts inclusive of 1,200 employees, investment planning, and component and air vehicle delivery operations from September 2019 to August 2022.
He previously served as Lockheed Martin Corporation’s Advanced Development Programs Director of Production Operations, Skunkworks Division for Lockheed Martin Corporation’s Aeronautics Division. In that role, he was responsible for all aspects of (Summary of Responsibilities) from December 2017 to September 2019.
Throughout his career, Mr. Reid has led several critical initiatives for Lockheed Martin Corporation, including Aeronautics First Line Leader Development and Retention program. In addition, he has been a thought leader in shaping digital transformation initiatives throughout multiple development programs in Aeronautics.
Mr. Reid graduated Cum Laude from University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Systems and Industrial Engineering as well as Masters in Business Administration from Georgia State University.
He serves on the Board of Advisors for the Industrial Technology Department at California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo, CA.
