Abe Rivas leads Accenture’s Global Talent & Organization (T&O) capability across Aerospace and Defense. He is responsible for developing, deploying, and executing T&O priorities, overseeing resource development, capability delivery, and directs a team of experienced professionals in support of T&O priorities and transformational solutions across commercial aerospace, defense, and space exploration sectors. Under his direction, the capability has grown three-fold with a focus on Talent Transformation, Workforce Analytics, Data & Cloud, Leadership & Culture, and recently in Gen AI and the “People” factor.
Throughout his career, he has worked across multiple industries and supported executive level leaders, helped define strategy, drive operational business improvement, accelerate growth, and increase shareholder value while focused on workforce and talent. Abe is known for his ability to lead large teams and work in complex business environments to deliver programs that result in streamlined organizational effectiveness, increased business capabilities, and improved workforce skills.
Abe is an Active Air Force (AF) Reserve Officer assigned to the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) for Policy and serves as a Senior Policy Advisor for the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (DASD) for Defense Continuity and Mission Assurance, the Assistant Secretary of Defense (ASD) for Homeland Defense and Hemispheric Affairs, and the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy. He has served as a Policy Advisor for Headquarter AF Security Forces, been a Unit Commander, and deployed for one year during OPERATION Iraqi Freedom across Kuwait, Jordan, and Iraq in 2003.
Abe is a member of the Aerospace Industry Association, is an Executive Sponsor for Accenture’s Partnership with the American Latino Veterans Association (ALVA) and is an active leader in minority affairs. He is based in Atlanta Georgia and assigned to OSD out of the Pentagon in his Reserve capacity.
